Product Description:
Mendwell Medicated Dressings comprise a medicated pad positioned at the center of a self-adhesive backing substrate, which may be either cloth or plastic (PVC or PE Film). These dressings are available in various shapes such as rectangular, square, and round.
Application:
They are primarily used to provide initial protection to superficial injuries, minor cuts, bruises, and for the absorption of exudates.
Features:
- Medication: The pad is impregnated with Benzalkonium chloride solution IP, equivalent to Benzalkonium chloride 0.5% w/w. This medication is nonstaining, and dye is added as required. The pad is laminated with a perforated film to prevent adherence to the wound.
- Good Permeability: Perforations in the pad facilitate better breathing of the wound area.
- Good Adhesion: The dressings exhibit quick stick properties, ensuring instant adhesion to the skin and providing firm adhesion.
- Skin Tolerance: The adhesive recipe is formulated to minimize skin irritation. Dressings with Zinc Oxide based adhesive mass ensure skin tolerance.
- Stability: The content of active ingredients, such as Benzalkonium chloride, is maintained well above the desired level throughout the shelf life. The performance of the adhesive backing is also sustained above the desired level throughout the shelf life.
