Mendwell Medicated Dressings feature a medicated pad placed at the center of a self-adhesive backing substrate, available in cloth or plastic (PVC or PE Film), and various shapes including rectangular, square, and round.
Application:
These dressings are designed to provide initial protection for superficial injuries, minor cuts and bruises, and facilitate exudate absorption.
Key Features:
- Medication: The pad is impregnated with Benzalkonium chloride solution IP equivalent to Benzalkonium chloride 0.5% w/w, sometimes permitted food grade. It's non-staining, with added dye. The pad is laminated with a perforated film to ensure nonadherence.
- Good Permeability: Perforations are strategically placed to promote better breathing and airflow.
- Good Adhesion: Quick stick properties ensure instant adhesion to the skin, providing secure attachment.
- Skin Tolerance: The adhesive formula is carefully formulated to minimize skin irritation. Those with Zinc Oxide based adhesive mass offer additional comfort.
- Stability: The active ingredients, such as Benzalkonium chloride, are retained well above the desired level throughout the shelf life. The performance of the adhesive backing is consistently maintained to meet or exceed expectations.
